Kitesurf lessons are provided by graduate IKO* instructors
International kiteboarding organization (IKO) is the first international association
which teach kiteboarding and issue a world recognize certification.
Our lessons follow the IKOs standards :
- 3 hours session
- 2 students by instructor (IKO graduate) maximum
Our equipment is fitted with the different learning levels and renews every year.
It permits students to learn in a good conditions whit the equipment of the year.
Every lessons are assisted by a rescue boat with a graduate instructor,
who is by the way first medic responder certified.
The IKO certification is given at the end of each formation.
After that you could carry on your training and improve your skills by renting a kitesurf and a kiteboard
in every kiteboarding rent shop.
IKO* instructor's advices :
In order to become autonomous with the kite, inflatable kite of 4 or 5 lines,
and to learn how to control the different security systems : safety release, Take off, self-rescue, relaunch
9 hours of formation are usually needed.
This formation is recommended in order to not put yourself and others in dangerous situation.
With this formation you will need 9 hours to feel secure and practice.
If you want to be completely autonomous between 20 and 25 hours of formation will usually be needed.
This training period depends on your physical condition and the other sports you use to practice, like :
- Snowboard
- Windsurf
- Funboard
- Wakeboard
- Flying kite
- Paraglider
